Village Inn Restaurant and Bakery

Have not been there in a while, staff is friendlier and food came out great. just want to know when they will get a remodel and not look like it is 40 years outdated.

the pie tasted dusty, the manager told me they were "trying to push some old pies", server snapped at me, took 10 minutes to get my coffee, and didn‘t bring creamer, then took ten minutes after server stopped by after dinner for her to bring pie, and forgot the ice cream. how does this place stay in business?

I was here once about a month ago and I will never go back; I was appalled at how dirty the restaurant area was, I ordered a basic burger with fries and it was hardly edible. I asked for medium on my burger and it came almost burnt (as if they forgot it on the griddle) and the fries were cold. I took one bite and asked my waitress to speak to the manager. He listened but I still had to pay for a meal that I didn‘t eat. If you want cold, burnt food, slow service, please eat here, if not there are better places in Ames to eat.

In search of a good place to eat breakfast in Ames, my husband & I usually give the Village Inn a try once a year. Will we never learn?!? The service at our recent visit was extremely slow, and the food was hardly edible.

Its just an average place but I was there last week and had a great server and awesome service

Looking for a good breakfast, american style? They seems to do it very well. I like to eat here when my car is in the shop; makes for a very pleasant morning.
