Le's Vietnamese

It‘s small, and hard to find, but worth the effort. The menu has Chinese and Vietnamese options. So far, all the Chinese dishes we‘ve ordered are as good, if not better than any of the other Chinese restaurants in Ames. The service is quick and the staff is friendly.

The lemonade is spectacular! And cheap. I have had better Vietnamese in California, but this is certainly one of the best restaurants in Ames. It is a hole in the wall, but the service is great.

We went for the first time last week. This is the first time in a long time I have tasted food that has levels of flavors. I discerned 4 or 5 levels in the chicken kababs, 3 in the soup. What a pleasure to be hit again and again with an unexpected sensual treat. Recommend it as an interesting experience. Will go back and try something else to make sure this wasn‘t a one off. Good Asian food is so rare in Ames who cares if it‘s authentic Vietnamese although if the authentic food is this good, bring it on.

The best lemonade I‘ve ever had at a restuarant! Not sure what the complaints about it being chinese food. I just came back from Vietnam a couple of months ago and they serve a majority of the same dishes. Plus you get enough food for lunch the following day.

All around good service and good food.

Not a bit Vietnamese here - just expensive Chinese foods!! We need a REAL Vietnamese restaurant in Ames, with high quality pho^ and traditional foods - many people would go to that. They have them in Des Moines at several nice and cheap places.

This is by far a very good restaurant. I have been there many times and the food is cooked great. I have owned 5 restaurants 2 in ames and have cooked for 25 yrs . If only people knew how hard it is to run a restaurant. This place is great. please try this restaurant. Chef Hunter

Great food. The pork and shrimp soup is very good. The egg rolls are addictive. The service is great and they are willing to let you customize your meal if you don‘t like something or want to add something.

One of the better Asian restaurants in Ames. Not really traditiaonal Vietnamese. Many dishes are served in a Chinese-style brown sauce. Still pretty tasty. Good service.

Excellent traditional noodle dish (with cucumber, lettuce, noodles, fish sauce, etc.)
