Jimmy John's

It‘s too bad that there‘s only one listing for Jimmy Johns in here because this concerns the one in the mall, not the Welch location. After my wife entered an order for 2 sandwiches, I noticed I was given the wrong one after the first bite. I called to let them know, and was told another sandwich was on the way. After eating, we recieved a call from the female manager of the mall Jimmy Johns stating that our sandwich was in fact right. I explained that it was not, and the second sandwich I got was different (the right sandwich). So if they sent a different one, there‘s no way the first sandwich was right. She again told me I was wrong and began screaming at me. Needless to say I was stunned by her not only calling, but going off on me. My wife returned the next day to explain, and one of the employees claimed she was there and once again let her know just how wrong we were for requesting another sandwich. We won‘t be eating here again, or at any of your franchises for that matter. I don‘t care if I pay double and wait an extra hour, you will not get my money ever again.

being used to subway, I was a little miffed that you can‘t customize what you‘d like on your sandwich. but I got one anyway, and boy was I disappointed. it was 3/4 wilted lettuce, which tasted like it had been out for ages. don‘t eat at the campus store unless you like to throw up.

Great service except for the one night I was higher than a comet watching scoob y doo and was dazing out until I heard an overly aggressive knock. It scared the shit out of me.

They won‘t deliver to west Ames when the west Ames Jimmy Johns isn‘t open?? dumb. Here‘s the reason they gave me... "we don‘t want to steal their (the west Ames location) business away." I don‘t think they are stealing their business when IT ISN‘T OPEN!!!

Bland, flavorless sandwiches that are overpriced. It‘s worth the short walk to Subway.

When you are eating Jimmy Johns you have to consider which one you are eating at. Not all of the Jimmy Johns in Ames are as bad as the Campus store.

DON‘T EAT HERE!! Go to subway is way better. Way too expensive for the portion and quality. The workers are annoying. They think they are cool and hip, but they are disgusting and have very poor customer service. I wanted to try this thinking it would be better than a large food chain like subway. Boy I was wrong. It taught me a lesson. The large food chains are large for a reason - they provide overall better food and service than good for nothing restaurants like Jimmy John‘s.

I have worked for Jimmy Johns for about three years now. At my store location we strive for awesome customer service and if there are any issues, we would love it if you let us know so we can better serve you in the future. The entire goal of Jimmy Johns is fast food and a great atmosphere for customers to be in. If employees aren‘t being kind, I absolutely need to know, the whole point of a business is to keep customers and it‘s impossible to do so without a friendly staff. You should come in and try us at the mall and let us know what you think. 232-7827.

If you expect to get good food from a fast food resturaunt that‘s whole purpose is to make as much money as possible, then you deserve to be disappointed. I have eaten there I have also got severe food poisoning there, but that‘s what I get, I would expect to take that chance, The only people who like this place are individuals who are easily influenced by advertizing, it works you know.

I love their food, but the workers are just annoying. They all think they are so cool--And seriously is it a prerequisite to be some indie loving jerk to work there? I will order it, but won‘t go in there because the service sucks.

I love JJ‘s in non-college towns. Here, you get attitude and a messed up order while having music blared in your ear. They do deliver, but if your order is wrong...well, you‘re just S.O.L. They don‘t care, they probably don‘t get paid enough to care, and complaining gets you a half-hearted attempt at making it right. Curb your urge for JJ‘s and wait until you‘re not being served by angst ridden college students.

Totally terrible. Where did they tell the workers it‘s ok to put RAW bacon on a sandwich? Awful. And the workers - RUDEASHELL. They don‘t warm sandwiches either. The one in the mall is damn cold. H A T E.

I think it‘s improved recently but it has been hit or miss. Stale bread sometimes in the past but lately fresh bread, quick delivery from the N. Grand store, good food...not great but good and handy when you just can‘t deal with cooking.

Who ever gave this place bad reviews should work till 3 a.m. dealing with the never ending bar rush, it‘s not as easy as just cutting open bread and putting stuff in there is a lot more to it. Its great food, way better than Subway

Jimmy John‘s is really hit or miss. Sometimes I get a great sub, other times - not so much. I just finished eating a recently delivered sub and was not impressed at all. The only good thing I have to say is that it was delivered in less than the 45 minutes that I‘m used to.

This place is a disgrace to Jimmy John‘s. I used to live in Milwaukee. If we did not get our delivery in 15 minutes, no tip. That happens about 1 out of 20 times. If I got my order in 15 minutes in Ames I would be shocked. I have had it take 45+ before; one time I didn‘t get Jimmy John‘s in a reasonable time so I figured they must have forgot my order and I got other food. They seemed confused and upset when I refused to pay. HELLO! you should have been here half an hour ago "Subs so fast you‘ll freak" right? Apparently not. How hard is it to make and deliver a sandwich in a timely manner? You cut open the bread, put the stuff in, wrap it, and go. It really is that simple. No cooking or anything else that would give them an excuse. Pathetic.

So horribly overrated it makes me want to cry. I also sometimes sob uncontrollably when I think that this town used to have a Blimpie‘s and a Mr. Goodcents and now we are relegated to the week old bread store posing as a sub shop known as Jimmy John‘s and approximately 48 Subways. Thank God that we still have the Downtown Deli!!!

They‘re used to dealing with drunks or stupid people that want cheap food so don‘t be surprised if the service reflects it. At Jimmy John‘s they hire good and bad employees. Its the luck of the draw who you get. Be nice to the delivery drivers, it usually isn‘t their fault.

Great subs! I love having avacado and bean sprouts, my husband loves the meaty Billy Club.

this place has been rude many times. I will not return due to their poor service. the food isn‘t bad, but you will get better at many places.
