For the past 13 years these gyro slingers have been fast and friendly. Options for your gyro include regular (lamb+beef), chicken, veggie and a very spicy hummus. The other standard toppings are onion, feta, and tzatziki sauce. Add some Tabasco and spice it up even more. If you're not in the mood for a gyro they also offer hot dogs and brats. Check this place out, you won't be disappointed.

Smiles & Gyros are simply the best Gyros around. The only problem you can‘t enjoy them during the day and at my age you just don‘t get down to Campustown between 10 Pm and 3 AM. A nice little year around, indoor shop would be very much welcomed.

I stumbled across this little diamond 2 years ago. Went to the haunted forest and then bar hopping...this little stand had a huge line and great food. It was my first time having a gyro and he made my first a memorable experience! I am now addicted and can‘t find another gyro I like as much yet!

I would just like to say that the guaranteed hours are actually 11-2:10 M&T, 9-2:10 W-S. And remember, S&G has 4 carts, one gyrostand downtown(on Main), two gyrostands on Welch W-S, and don‘t forget about the Dog Station and its famous SUPERDOGS. We‘re usually open until about 2:30 most days, and until 3 or 4 on weekends depending on the crowd.

And sadly, the only gyrostand offering the hot dogs and brats is downtown, there are no brats on Welch. But we do have the Dog Station...

Heh Nobody knows this ‘place‘ as Smiles & Gyros... it‘s Gyro Man (or Gyro Dude)... Very tasty Gyros that I have yet to find a decent replacement for (moved from Ames).

You think a line forms for a place that is bad? well worth the wait.

15 minutes...WTF are you smoking? It probably takes no longer than 10 minutes when there is a long ass line. You must be blind as well, there is a Jimmy Johns and bunch of other restaurants around Gyro Man!!

I waited in line listening to the worst music EVER for over 15 minutes and I was the only person on the street. Will someone please put different food on Welch that comes up in under 15 minutes and not play Enya mixed with wild jungle sounds.

These are the best gyros ever!!! The flat bread is warm and soft with a slight crunch and the ingredients are perfect! You MUST have a Gyro Man gyro if you are in Ames!
