i ordered take out, got into my driveway and received a call to go back, that my order was not correct. I drove back, and was never offered an opology a disscount nothing for my inconvenience and for thier screw up! what had happened was.... they sent my order home with someone else who brought it back, and than after it went home with someone else, asked me if i still wanted it....duh! of course i said "No" so while i waited for them to cook my meal, everyone elses food was getting cold! after i got my meal, i am not even sure i got what i ordered, it did not look like any other mongolian beef that had ever seen before. terrible service. apparently i am not the only one who thinks so, as this was a Friday night and they had three tables, that should speak for it self!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WILL NEVER GO BACK

The New China is very dirty. We were given 5 serving spoons with our meal. Four of them were caked with a lot of old dried food on the back of the handle. My knife was also dirty. The bathroom was filty. Even my four year old asked why the bathrooom was so dirty and I had not voiced my opinions about any of this. I showed the cashier our spoons and she said, "oh, I don‘t know what‘s wrong with our dishwasher." I would recommend against eating at New China in Boone.

I‘ve eaten here since 1989, when it was in the hotel on the south side of Boone. Their egg rolls and crab rangoons have always been a favorite and, though the menu has morphed a bit over the years (mostly while one of the owners was out with health issues and another family stepped in to help out), it has remained one of my favorite Chinese restaurants to eat at in all of central Iowa.

The General Tso chicken is a bit unique, but good; curry chicken is very nice, and the kung pao chicken and triple delight are my favorites. They‘ll customize any dish to your liking if you ask (add or leave out an ingredient, add spice to a normally non-spicy dish, etc.)

The restaurant itself isn‘t in particularly great condition, but I cannot argue with the quality of the good and really enjoy getting take out regularly.

Open every weekday for lunch and dinner, but closed for lunch on Saturday and closed all day on Sunday.

Great Chinese food in Boone, IA. Who knew? Ask for the Chinese menu if you want to try some different food. We love the peapod tofu. It‘s not on the menu right now so you have to ask for it. We think they have the best combination fried rice in central Iowa.

I have eaten here even as a kid and it was a different place. The food is always outstanding and the cook has always gone the extra mile. Outstanding.
