Fazoli's

As far as fast food goes, Fazolis is pretty good. The prices are reasonalble, and there‘s a decent amount of variety. The amazing breadsticks really set it apart though!

It‘s OK for fast Italian food. The noodles are always overcooked. The seasoning blend with the sauce has way too much garlic, but not enough of the other Italian seasoning. Kitchen help needs to do a better job of food safety and proper food handling before I go back.

For "Italian Food Fast" -- they do it up very well. Some of the menu items are very average, but what can you say -- it‘s a fast food place! However, I am a chicken parmesan freak and I have to say that believe it or not, Fazoli‘s has THE BEST chicken parmesan in town. I‘ve tried the chicken parmesan at most the other restaurants in Ames that offer it and this is the best ---seriously!

It is a good alternative to burgers, and they have corrected a number of the service problems that plagued it for so long. The thing is I go here once or twice a year. Long enough to forget just how bland this stuff is. When I return, I always think it‘s going to end up tasting a lot better than it does, then I vow no to return again, until my memory lapses. It is a plus that they have whole wheat pastas now, and I like that you can build your own bowl with sauce and noodles. Just needs to be less watery and bland.

For fast food, it‘s fine, though the food is rather bland. But you do get all the free white breadsticks you can eat. Good place for children and starving students.

Really yummy lasagna and all the breadsticks you can eat. Great deal for the price.

best italian in Ames... how sad is that

This place is OK if you can‘t afford to buy a microwave and a can of SpaghettiO‘s.

The price is great for fast food that‘s different than burgers. Yes you can make rubbery spaghetti at home, but you can also make rubbery burgers at home. Endless garlic breadsticks are also a plus.
