Located at the northeast corner of the building at 910 9th Street is DIXIE'S 1950's DINER. Opening on April 23 of 2007, the diner lives up to its name by serving up daily Blue Plate Specials and with 1950's background music playing at all times.
In addition to the blue plates, Dixie's serves a wide assortment of cold sandwiches (turkey, ham, pb&j), hot sandwiches (coney island hot dogs, grilled cheese, angus beef burgers, blt, barbecued beef and barbequed pulled pork). Side dishes include crisp green salads, homemade potato salad, homemade coleslaw and Dixie's delicious baked beans. The diner specializes in fountain items, including hand dipped ice cream malts, floats, sundaes and cones. The diner serves delicious pies and pastries and Grandma' Klein's Quarter Pound Cookies.

Dixie‘s is no longer in business. Their food was over cooked and the staff was underpaid.

I am from Bismarck ND and had the opportunity to dine at Dixie‘s Diner while in Boone. The service was excellent . . . the meal was delicious . . . and the conversation great! Congratulations to Dixie and her staff for providing Boone with a wonderful, unique dining opportunity. If you are in the area, please don‘t hesitate to stop . . . or . . . plan to make a special trip . . .
