Chips Restaurant

Waitstaff ignored us the entire time, food was greasy and over cooked. Both husband and myself were sick the next day, maybe not of actual food poisoning but because of overly greasy food. atmosphere that of Chuck E Cheese, not for the fun but because of cleanlyness.

I think this is a family restaurant and it is not as good as expected for the price!

I didn‘t find the chips good in the slightest, they were very greasy. The rest of the food was below average. Regardless, why is this restaurant on Ames Beat since it is in Ankeny? Can we keep the restaurants in Story County perhaps?

I would reccomend Chips Restaurant to anyone who wants good food and great service! Their Rotisserie chicken is amazing!
Try their dips... my personal favorite is their Southwestern dip... Great place to eat!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

Chips Restaurant is a great place! Their Bowtie Pasta is excellent and their Rotisserie Chicken couldn‘t be better. Their complimentray chips are also good! I have always good service when I have been there. I would highly reccomend this restaurant!

Fresh Chips are good but the other food is not. Poor customer service as well.

I like Chips. I like the bright atmosphere the location and the quality of menu items. Their rotisserie chicken is very good and their kettle "Chips‘ are addicting. It is a little expensive, but I always liked the proximity to the interstate and the fact that its locally owned and and operated in a town overrun by chain restaurants.

We stopped in and enjoyed a very good Reuben Pizza. It was a late lunch so the Chips were not as fresh as we thought they should be, but thought if we would have been there at noon they probably would have been great!!!

Why this place has not been franchised is beyond me. The chips they start you off with are fantastic, the wood fired pizza‘s are great. Reasonable prices, well worth stopping for a casual affordable lunch or dinner. Veryn busy at peak times.

The teriyaki chicken pizza is amazing, as are the fresh chips!
