YUCK YUCK YUCK. Not sure if I went at a bad time or what because from all the other reviews it sounds like this is a great place....but..(it was 6pm), I ordered Sweet and Sour chicken, crab rangoons and egg drop soup. The chicken tasted like it had been sitting for DAYS...hard and VERY DRY. Crab rangoons were dry and had seemed like they had been sitting too. The only thing that was partially warm was the soup...but it tasted as though someone dumped a bottle of soy sauce in it. The side of sweet and sour sauce tasted and smelled like alcohol. I have ordered from here before and it wasn‘t the greatest the last time, but I figured I‘d give it another shot. NEVER AGAIN will I order food from here...I‘d rather go to King Buffet any day. The only reason I gave it a star at all is because the people working were friendly.

The chicken was hard and dry, the sweet and sour sauce was awful, and I ordered my food at 6pm.

I have been getting takeout at CHC for three years and have never been disappointed in the food or the service. Even though I get takeout, I don‘t call it in but order it and wait; that gives me a little time to chat with the very wonderful couple that owns the restaurant.
The hot and sour soup is too die for, I have never had any quite like it. It has a distinctive flavor and always tastes fresh. I have been to many Chinese restaurants in my 45 years and no other H&S soup comes close.
Try their potstickers too, quite yummy and handmade. I‘ve many times watched the husband making them late at night for the next day.
And the "economic crisis" has not caused them to upturn their prices or downturn the portions like so many other thieves in this country.
