Very nice atmosphere and the waiter was very polite. He had excellent recommendations based on our taste preferences. The food was absolutely amazing.

People seem to forget about Audubon‘s, but it‘s a fantastic restaurant with super service. Prices aren‘t too out of line, especially for the food and service you get.

The lunch menu is one of the best values in Ames, reasonably priced and incredibly delicious. It can get a tad spendy for dinner, especially if you are prone to over-ordering, but also very good. That being said there are two things I would change, the hours, and the decor/seating. Being that the restaurant is in a hotel they do have limited lunch and breakfast hours, maybe it’s me being spoilt from having restaurants open for the afternoon, but that bugs me. Their decor is a modge podge with a lot of ultra modern touches all the way to 1970‘s kitsch. The result is distracting, and could easily be fixed with a few edits and tablecloths. Breakfast is not expansive, although it is good. Think expanded continental, and this is for the "Sunday brunch" as well.

My wife and I ate here on my birthday for the first time. The menu is top notch, the service was excellent, and the desserts were decadent. Everything we had was well-done and reasonably priced. For the money, this is the best "fine food" restaurant in Ames (and both higher quality and more reasonably priced than Aunt Maude‘s).

Excellent food . . . excellent service. Great place for a quiet night out.
