Tip Top Lounge

Stopped in there after the basketball game awhile back. Propably the dirtiest bar I have ever been into. If you go to the bathroom be sure and not touch anything, cause you never know what you‘ll catch. Don‘t even know how that place passes inspection, probably got some pull with the city.

No matter waht other people have to say about the TIP TOP;
It is the best place I have been to for a long time. The most of people there are friendly, kind, and they know how to have fun (especially on the nights they have KARAOKE) with the KJ/DJ ( DJ DONNA). I feel like I am walking into CHEERS where everyone knows your name (when the get to know you better). Go there and have fun and bring your friends too.

Tailgaiting or not every one is friendly. I don‘t care if you wear a suit or work construction, every one gets along and has fun. If your a snob, don‘t go there!!!

Best tailgating bar I‘ve ever been to. Everyone is there to have a good time and they welcome everyone who comes in. I‘m from out of town and that was huge for me. Bartenders are simply amazing. Didn‘t have a bad drink for the two days I was there.

If you want a dirty bar, with wait staff that look like they have not showered in a few days, then this is the place.

This place kicks ass and boasts much Ames and ISU tradition......the service and bartenders are hands down the best around. Prices are great and drinks are poured perfectly!!

never go in this place!!! i‘m was traveling from out of town stopped to have a beer with my father and amost got jumped by some drunks for reasons unknow to anyone sober. The bar tender con‘t ever walk.

Best dive bar!! You will see every make and model there. Everything from construction to Suits. Everyone is friendly.

This is the worst place in Ames. No smoke eaters. It might have the thickest smoke of any bar I have ever beenin.

I‘ve enjoyed this place so much, I‘ve slept in the parking lot before after a good night at the TipTop. This place is a tradition.

Best bar in town...the back bar is the best place in town to watch a game. Try the pull-tab lottery machine - your odds improve as you drink.

I highly recommend drinking with friends in the basement. It‘s like nothing you‘ve ever seen before!

I love this place! The good people who frequent this landmark bar know what I am talking about. Great happy hour specials and the fun people and beautiful bartenders make it worth the time to check it out!
