Good bar and specials but ONLY USE CASH. I checked my balance the night of and it was accurate but then I checked it a few days later and it was double. DO NOT USE A CARD!!!

Im sorry but i read over some of the peoples reviews. Ok i understand that the bar can get messy some times, but if you have never worked in a bar or tried to run one before....SHUT YOUR FACE !!! MMK cause you have no idea how hard it is to walk threw a bar full of people with a mop, if you think its so easy, you do it. Oh and if your really mad about the spilt drinks, than stop getting so drunk to were you cant hold your own drink! Every time im in there i get nothing but respect and great service, yeah the drinks might be strong but remeber your in college town, what did you expect. Oh and every one is always welcomed with a smile. So for those of you that dont like this bar thats your opinion, and your entitled to it. But just remeber when you come to a college town to drink, thats what your going to get. Great people that know how to have a good time, that dont let the stupid little petty things get in their way. Dirty, gross place. The bartenders are horrible and couldn‘t make a drink to save their life.

Piss, rotten beer, and garbage odor greet you at the door. No reason to go there ever again.

Wheres the Beer, ordered a Miller Lite the other night, and it was not miller lite that came out of the tap. I discreetly asked the bartender, and he said it was natty light or something else. WHAT??? Last time im there!!! Cant afford to buy the beer or what?? CHEAP ASSES

Cut a hole in a dungeon and open the doors; I guess it would be and insult to the dungeon though. I would rather get my teeth cleaned than go back in there again.

have to agree with the recent reviews, used to have a good time here but now won‘t even step inside. don‘t know what happened to the bartenders; they could stand to learn how to actually mix drinks and clean up the split drinks everywhere.

This place is gross, smelly, icky, and sticky. I don‘t understand why people like this bar. It‘s always nasty inside. Perhaps it‘s only ISU students rating this place as "Awesome!" but everything about the place is run-down, dirty, and nasty.

why even have tv‘s. poop in my face. could i wait longer for a drink? no wonder why there is only dust in the tip jar. apparently you can build a metal shed, bower your grandpa‘s tv‘s, shit on the floor, clean that up with piss, turn the lights on and people will come in to wait for a sugarfulla ass drink. not goin back.

Sports bar? Come on! They have like 2 tvs, not even HD, with no sport packages, only what is on ESPN. And the place is flithy, floor is always sticky. If you want to watch sports go to Es Tas or WAS, this place sucks

the music at chasers has gotten a lot better and there are better bartenders there during the week now. saturdays are fun too, but you have to be overly patient when the guy is working hes slow

wow this place is starting to be packed on weekends the music is good the drinks are good and the staff is amazing I had a great time friday and saturday here, it was awesome keep up the good work

i love the fact chasers is trying to make changes to the bar and r always trying to find ways to please there customers they have changed there music format a lttle bit and added buck burgers on wednesdays and you can‘t go wrong with tony tarbox on fridays for FAC

I went to Chasers for my first time this weekend. At first I thought it might have been a gay bar because I didn‘t see ANY females. Not a bad place though, good drinks & friendly bartenders.

Had a great time there the last 2 nights the bartenders are personable and friendly they played great music and u could tell they have a great time working there will be back for sure

Icky, dirty, stinky....YUCK!!! Slow service...as soon as u walk in there if u are not a regular...u definatlely feel out of place. Will NEVER go back...

I just went to Chasers last night. Great band (drunk and disorderly), cheap drinks, and a great atmosphere. And to the jackass that thinks everyone is looking in at him, why are you going out to a bar? Stay in and drink. Great bar.

Chasers sucks. I always feel cramped and squished in there because its so long and skinny.The entire bar is full of windows so I feel like everyone on the street are always lookikng in at me.I never want to go back there ever.

No hot girls, no people period go to this place except on thursdays.

I don‘t know why the hell anyone would say anything bad about Chasers. This bar has awesome music, great bartenders (even a really hot asian chick), and they treat their customers well. They have great specials, and always make you feel at home. The regulars are cool too, they make you feel welcome instead of the new guy.

MOVE OUTTA MY WAY, IM A REGULAR. Thats not how we act, and we aren‘t treated that way here either. A bar gets "regulars" because its a good fucking bar!!!! For the jerk off that is pissed about the lack of hot girls, youre a fucking tool, if you wanna see women, go to a strip club, or stay home and watch your girls gone wild DVDs, just because your bartender isnt a hot little girl doesnt mean youre not going to get a good drink, actually chances are youll get a better drink because most bartenders know how slapass college kids think so the men and the less attractive women work harder and do better to keep you twats happy. Now back to where I was, oh yeah, I fucking love Chasers, I love every person that works there, they all treat me with the respect I treat them with, the staff is fucking amazing. The specials are wonderful, the rest of the "regulars" are a blast to be around and always make it a fun time, Kouns pizza rocks my face off, the music is always fun, I would kill myself (or find another bar) if the music made me crazy, the drinks are good, and though it may not be the cleanest place on the planet it definitely ranks for campustown

I don‘t what previous poster is talking about the staff here is great the music is great and drinks are great I just moved to Ames not long ago and one if first bar I went was chasers and they always have treated me as if I belong here and always make me feel welcome the best way I would describe chasers is that its an everymans bar u can look dress however u want and they treat everybody the same as long as there douches and about regulars every bar has them and they always get treated better due to the fact that go to that bar whtever the bar maybe several times a week keep it up guys

Not sure what people find so special about this place. The bar is dirty, the staff has no hot girls, and the music is usually to loud to talk over. then there are the drinks that are ok at best unless you are a regular then they seem to be almost free, so if you want to rate the place on that hope you are a regular. all in all this place doesn‘t even rank in the top 10 for campus town much less ames. this place had so much potential when it opened it is a shame they let it go to hell

Chasers has to be my favorite bar in Ames. The staff rocks my world, and the crowd isn‘t a group of college ass hats with their collars popped. I personally love the small "hole in the wall" feel of this bar, makes the experience more intimate and its quite easy to talk to the people here. The drink specials are awesome, and even without specials the prices for drinks are quite perfect. The music is a huge part of why I go here, the staff always has a great selection. All and all I love this bar!!!

Feels like I‘m drinking in a house party basement somewhere rather than in a bar. Entirely too bright. Decent specials though.

I used to like this place until I realized that it does not even feel like a bar. Way too bright and the crowd is usually there for the 25 cent drinks.

It might be a little crowded, but I think I have more fun in this bar than anywhere else. Between Drunken Scattergories, Beer Pong, and Buck Hunter there hasn‘t been to many nights that I haven‘t been entertained. In fact I‘m thinking about going there right now and have me a slice of pizza and a pint.

Aweful. Too small, the bartenders don‘t have a clue, and the place smells like urine and stale smoke. Stay away!

The best bar in campustown, without a doubt. Best/comparable drink specials (except maybe Fridays), relaxed atmosphere, friendly people. Bartenders seem good natured and knowledgeable - though the bar is lacking top-shelf liquors. Can be hard to get around to shoot on the pool tables, but they are in much better shape than most anywhere else, except Welch Ave Station. Gets smoky, dirty and loud, just like any good bar should :)

Bar tenders need to learn how to make more then a Draw of beer. Other then that I can usally get a few phone numbers and even walk a gal home. SO this must be a decent place to pick up a local whore. Need to add some anti smoke devices, and a few more pool tables be nice.

I do not understand why this place is getting such good reveiws. It is far too small, it takes a long time to get drinks and as far as I know, the bartenders are lacking some basic bartending knowledge as well as speed. The beer pong table, while an ingenious addition, would be far better suited in a larger bar. The pool tables are always crushed with people, making it impossible to play. If you want to go to a bar and sit in a private booth, not socialize with anyone, overpay for drinks, be crowded, and wait to long for any form of liquid refreshment, go for it!

Hard to believe this is place is related to Element. So much better atmosphere and better bartenders. They should have their staff train their partner‘s above them.

I love love love this bar. It‘s so much fun and the people are great. I always get great service at the bar. It feels like you‘re hanging out with a bunch of friends in someone‘s basement or garage or something. Completely casual and low key.

I miss Chasers Thursday nights!!!!!!! Anybody who doesn‘t like Chasers is crazy! The more I went there, the more comfortable I felt! I always had fun too....did I mention beer pong!??

Great place on a slow night. When its busy it kind of sucks.

I thought that this place was great. I went during the week and the staff was awesome and we all had such a great time. It was a good place to drink and not have to scream over the music.

They recently remodeled this place but the old staff is not there. We will miss the old staff. They were fun!

This place used to be "the place to go." It was the perfect dive bar, had everything you needed with a staff that was pretty quick on their feet and good music. The good staff is no longer there, not even one of them, and I drove by the other day and there is a Pier 1 palm tree in the doorway with 4 people around the bar, oh well, it was fun while it lasted i suppose

This was the second bar that i went to on my Birthday and have been there about every time I‘ve gone out drinking with my usual group. It is great if you just want to hang out, drink, flirt with college girls, and get served by a great staff. A sure stop for anyone looking for a very friendly bar, despite it‘s somewhat limited selection in beers. If they would expand their selection add in some food this place would be a definate 5 star rating, as far as college bars go.

Chaser is the best bar in town. The people that work there are great, always in the mood to goof around. Nice collection of regulars and great atmosphere. If Chasers was a woman, I‘d marry the it and make love to it hourly.

This place is great. The bartenders are by far the most fun in Ames. The drinks are cheap and the people are usually pretty laid back.The music is great beacuse they dont play all rap like every other preppy-froot bar in town. Easily one of the best bars around.

I can‘t wait untill these guys open up their place again. When Chasers first opened in the bottom of Big Shots, it gave people in Campus something else to do, rather than the normal sit, drink, get bored and leave. The bartenders on F.A.C. were the best. (I think they were Fester and Luke) All their bartender seamed to always have fun though. I bet the new place is going to be awsome!
