Lumpy's is located in the basement of People's. It can be hard to find at first, but the door is on the Lincoln Way side, just east of the People's door. The inside of the place is very basement like with plain cement floors and walls. Lumpy's doesn't have all the frills of some of the other bars, but it has a good sized room off to the side of the bar thats lined with couches and TVs. The couches are pretty much the majority of seating in the place which makes it a good spot to just hang out and relax.

favorite place to be. great beer specials and very laid back.

Coming from a small town--Lumpy‘s makes the ‘ol hometown bars look classy, but that is ok because the prices are cheap and the music is pretty good.
I try to go there everytime in Ames. Last time we stole a mug and drank some strangers beer--it was great.

i have actually BEEN one of those people peeing in the corner.. on multiple occasions... great place to go on friday nights for quarter draws, that way you can get really sauced for really cheap before going and spending a lot more somewhere else
