Did the Boheme close? It looks to be emptied out.

Its a cool place for international music lovers

The music is pretty good here especially on Thursdays. I wish there was more of a variety with regards to the DJing/music. The decor is nice except that it‘s a little creepy--all there is on the walls are paintings of women in bath towels or in the nude.

I used to love this place a few years ago. I still ask myself what happened to the salsa dance lessons they used to offer!

The candle-lit booths are great for chatting, dating, homework-doing, art-creating, cigarette-smoking, or just drink-consuming.

Blah, blah, blah.
If you have read some of the previous reviews, you will notice that they have been written by people caught up in the middle of daily usual life. People that have peripherial vision and aren‘t aware of the whole picture around them.
Don‘t pay much attention.
Go there. Be relaxed and accept everybody and everything. You will not regreted.
If you are looking for your usual pretty girl/wanna be "the man" kind of place, then do not go.
If you are looking for a place to vent, let yourself fall away from life for a while, and be yourself without being afraid, then go.
I drive miles to escape from the ordinary and vent through good dancing, awsome environment, and wise drinking.

Is this place still open? The telephone number has been disconnected, and every time I walk by, it‘s closed.

When they play latino music its the best place ever! But they should stop plaing indian music when there is people dancing (or at least when I‘m there).

yeah, music on Thursdays is much worse than it used to be. I don‘t go to this place as much as before just because of that

Met my ex-girlfriend here. This is a place of fear for me now. Just seeing a picture of the place makes me nauseous.

This place used to be rockin on Thurs. nights, but then Pete, the owner, alienated many of the local dj‘s and so the music variety disappeared and people stopped coming. The staff was always cool, with the exception of the owner who always seemed as if he detested the clientele. Good ambience, a great place to relax and take in the wide variety of acts that appear for open mic night.

i love the boheme, the staff, the atomsphere, the music, its all wonderful. the drinks, in comparison to other places, arent really that expensive, plus those prices and door cover keep people out that i dont really want to be around. best place in west ames, yay boheme!

Drinks are weak, but staff is nice. Would have a nice atmosphere if there was ever anyone there to enjoy it with.

The only real place to dance and meet all kinds of new people! Fun, enjoying atmosphere, drinks, and really comfortable couches.

The guys watching the door are worthless, but you can bring minors to get drinks

Great multi-cultural experience. I don‘t mind the drink prices. I don‘t come here to get smashed, I come here for the atmosphere and the acceptance.

This place sucks

I feel it‘s my duty to say that the food is great as well.

If you‘re going out TO drink only and your goal is go get drunk... maybe the Boheme isn‘t for you. (Stay home with your ice house.)

This place is great if you just want to go dancing. Sure, drinks are pricey, but if you want drink specials, stay in Campus town. The Boheme has a great mood & atmosphere & attracts a diverse crowd rather than all frat boys & sohos. The one downfall (other than expensive drinks) is that it get rather smoky.

Fuck having to pay $3 at 1 am because I want a beer. They have about 2 cool employees. If you‘re in the area, just go to Thumbs.

Way too expensive for drinks and they don‘t nearly have as good of an atmosphere as they did a couple years ago.

A great place off the beaten path. Might have to wait a while for a drink, but the unique atsmosphere and interesting international music mixes will keep you more than occupied.

It‘s just too expensive for food and drinks, but cover isn‘t bad.
