Attraction - Garden
The Gardens are located just south of the stadium and are the largest public gardens in Iowa. They offer a very rich experience of all sorts of rich colors from the plants in the garden. Every visit is different since the gardens are constantly changing with the seasons. In addition to the gardens there is also the Butterfly House, an indoor conservatory, and a restaurant within the garden complex.

The butterflies house at Reiman Gardens is absolutely amazing. I have been to several butterfly houses and this is by far my families favorite.

My children‘s favorite place to go in Ames...we regularly get requests to visit. The Butterfly Garden is wonderful, but so are the kids‘ garden, and rose garden. A wonderful way to spend an afternoon!

Butterfly garden is neat to see, but do not go at night when they are all sleeping!
